Performance Responsibilities:
- Instruct students in research and experiments in science, technology, engineering and math.
- Effectively implement learning strategies, prompting procedures, and other systematic instructional procedures in school and non school settings.
- Assist teachers and other professionals with adapting learning materials and equipment to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles or language backgrounds.
- Maintain computer lab(s) and computers within assigned lab(s).
- Assist the teachers with the integration of technology into the curriculum.
- Troubleshoot technology problems.
- Enroll students and print reports in student assessment software programs.
- Assist students in using student assessment software programs.
- Instruct students on the use of the Internet.
- Adhere to the District’s Technology Acceptable Use Policy.
- Educate students concerning the District’s Technology Acceptable Use Policy.
- Implement teacher developed plans or strategies to enhance the fluency, maintenance, and generalization of academic skills as directed.
- Perform routine clerical duties such as preparation of instructional materials; maintaining attendance, setting up student work areas; and operating video, computer, adaptive devices, and other technology devices and materials.
- Implement teacher-developed behavior plans and techniques that adhere to the laws, regulations and procedural safeguards concerning the management of student behaviors.
- Supervise students in academic and non academic settings as directed by the principal.
- Participate in professional development related to job responsibilities.
- Supervise lunch, library, and/or playground activities of students as directed by the principal.
- Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations by interacting effectively with and demonstrating respect for the views, rights and contributions of parents, teachers and other school personnel.
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff.
- Administer health services to students as necessary including, but not limited to, the administration of medication; the operation, maintenance, or health care through the use of medical equipment; or the administration of clinical procedures.
- Maintain appropriate professional appearance.
- Act as a consistent positive public relations agent for school and district programs and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding individual students and their families.
- Implement and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, administrative guidelines, and directives as adopted by the Board of Education, Principal, Administrative Staff, Superintendent and School Based Decision Making Council.
- Maintain acceptable personal attendance without repeated unexcused absences, tardiness, absences without notification, or abuse of sick leave.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervising Teacher, Principal, Administrative Staff, or Superintendent of Schools.
