This is a District Wide Position. 

 

Certification Requirement: Administrator Certification

 

 

Performance Responsibilities:

 

  1. Direct district Homebound program and the District Second Opportunity Program.
  2. Direct district Juvenile Justice Education Program at the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center and the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This includes oversight of all KECSAC reporting as well as Title I, Part D.
  3. Direct the district accident reporting system and handle all student accident reporting to the insurance carrier.
  4. Direct all district safety initiatives and programs to provide a safe environment for all students and staff.
  5. Direct the Compass Academy Program, Alternative to Suspension Program and all other alternative programs in the district.
  6. Promote the success of every student by facilitating the development, articulation, implementation and stewardship of a vision of learning that is shared and supported by all stakeholders.
  7. Promote the success of every student by advocating, nurturing and sustaining a climate and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth.
  8. Promote the success of every student by ensuring management of the organization, operation, and resources for a safe, efficient, and effective learning environment.
  9. Promote the success of every student by collaborating with faculty and community members, responding to diverse community interests and needs and mobilizing community resources.
  10. Promote the success of every student by acting with integrity, fairness, and in an ethical manner.
  11. Promote the success of every student by understanding, responding to, and influencing the political, social, economic, legal, and cultural context.
  12. Provide professional leadership within the schools, community, and education profession to improve student learning and well-being.
  13. Communicate clearly with all stakeholders.
  14. Report any unusual occurrence or event to the proper authorities immediately.
  15. Develop and implement the improvement plans as necessary.
  16. Enforce the district’s discipline plan and code of conduct.
  17. Administer student discipline as required by district discipline plan and code of conduct.
  18. Evaluate faculty and classified staff by accurately administering the certified and classified evaluation plans.
  19. Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations by interacting effectively with and demonstrating respect for the views, rights and contributions of parents, teachers and other school personnel.
  20. Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff. 
  21. Adhere to the professional Codes of Ethics adopted by the Kentucky Education Professional Standards Board.
  22. Demonstrate positive interpersonal relations by interacting effectively with and demonstrating respect for the views, rights and contributions of parents, teachers and other school personnel.
  23. Maintain appropriate professional appearance. 
  24. Act as a consistent positive public relations agent for school and district programs and activities.
  25. Maintain confidentiality of information regarding individual students and their families.
  26. Implement and adhere to all rules and regulations, policies, administrative guidelines, and directives as adopted by the Board of Education, Principal, Administrative Staff, Superintendent, and School Based Decision Making Council. 
  27. Maintain acceptable personal attendance without repeated unexcused absences, tardiness, absences without notification, or abuse of sick leave.
  28. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.
